Inventory Management:
Develop and implement effective inventory control strategies to ensure optimal stock levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of materials and minimize stock shortages.
Regularly monitor inventory levels, conduct audits, and implement measures to prevent inventory discrepancies.
Production Planning and Timely Execution:
Collaborate with the operations team to develop production schedules and allocate resources efficiently to meet customer demands and production targets.
Monitor production progress and ensure adherence to production schedules.
Identify and resolve any production-related issues that may affect timely delivery of products.
Continuously improve production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and maximize output.
Team Management and Motivation:
Supervise and lead a team of production workers, including training, coaching, and performance management.
Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and a strong work ethic.
Set clear goals and objectives for the team and provide regular feedback and recognition for achievements.
Identify training needs and provide opportunities for skill development to enhance team performance.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with company quality standards and procedures throughout the production process.
Implement and maintain quality control measures to minimize product defects and customer complaints.
Conduct regular quality checks and audits to ensure product specifications are met consistently.
Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
Safety and Risk Management:
Promote and enforce a culture of safety within the production facility, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards or risks in the production area.
Conduct regular safety inspections and implement safety improvement initiatives as necessary.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of production planning, inventory management, and quality control principles.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in using production management software and tools.
